Luke 18:1 “And he spake a parable unto them to this end, that men ought always to pray, and not to faint”
Luke 18:5 “Yet because this widow troubleth me, I will avenge her, lest by her continual coming she weary me.”
As in Luke 11, the Lord uses a parable in Luke 18 to remind His followers that their prayer life should be characterized by fervency and regularity. Our petitions should be characterized by persistence and passion. Our requests should be characterized by relentlessness and restlessness. Like the widow, we should continually come before our Judge for those things with which we are burdened.
American Christians have failed to meet these standards in our prayer lives. PLUS has been designed as a tool to help us meet the Lord’s guidance for praying for our nation without fainting. Please use it and encourage others to use it as a way to always pray as the Lord has instructed. PLEASE PRAY ALWAYS FOR OUR NATION WITHOUT FAINTING. The alternative has failed to yield the Judge’s advocacy on our behalf.
